The Dental service formerly known as Dental Corps was then under the supervision of the Surgeon General of Medical Service.

On 1 Jul 1951, assignment to Dental Dispensary of the following compliment of Military personnel pursuant to PAF TO & E 8-500 RS, Sec 1 GO # 30 HPAF were; 1 Maj, 1 Lt, AM,1 SSg, 1 Sgt, 1 Cpl.
On 1 Aug 1954, there was a change in the table distribution pursuant to AFP T/D 8-500 dtd 1 Aug 54 (2) officers, 1 Capt and 1 Lt, AM, 1 SSg, 1 Sgt, 1 Cpl and 1 Pfc. The Dental Corps was redesignated Dental Service and was separated from the Medical Service, thereby making it a distinct & separate technical service of the AFP.
On 01 Nov 1954, the Dental Dispensary was revised pursuant to AFP TO & E 8-500 with the following military personnel; three (3) Officers and eight (8) Enlisted Personnel.

On 25 Oct 1966, 511th Dental Dispensary Type “A” was redesignated to 1303RD PAF Dental Dispensary pursuant to GO Nr 117 GHQ, AFP dtd 25 Oct 1966, with the strength of four (4) Officers and twelve (12) enlisted personnel as per UMD supporting 801 to 1,500 military personnel and 3,000 or more dependents pursuant to AFP TO & E 13-600 dtd Apr 1977.

The Dispensary was originally housed at the FAB Dental Hospital. It was then located on the left wing of the hospital in the area that was the NP Section. Then it was transferred to where the new operating room was located. On May 1968, the dispensary acquired its new building at the back of the FAB hospital. At present the dispensary as per TOE Nr A3-46-3, GHQ, AFP, Quezon City dated 26 November 2013 (Type “C”) has strength of eight (5) officers, seventeen (17) enlisted personnel and is authorized to have (3) civilian dentists, and two (2) civilian employees. Its Actual strength, however, is three (3) Dental Officers, fifteen (15) Enlisted Personnel, three (3) Civilian Dentists and two (2) Dental Assistants.

2008 marks a momentous event in the history of the 1303rd Dental Dispensary Unit. It has witnessed the demolition of its old office to ground-zero and the construction of an all new structure in a span of three (3) months. The eight (8) room, modestly-landscaped structure is a far cry from the rundown, dilapidated building which was home to the Dispensary personnel for over (5) decades.

The new 1303rd PAF Dental Dispensary was inaugurated and formally dedicated to the Filipino Airmen last 18 November 2012.

The 1303rd Dental Dispensary takes pride in its office as it ventures on putting dental health care to the next-level- provision of a more patient conducive venue, higher quality services and consequently, a better satisfied clientele. It continually aspires to attune its efforts to the demands of the times by finding ways to acquire new and modern dental facilities and equipments. It is geared towards upgrading the knowledge and skills of its staff on current practices, procedures and techniques in dentistry. Finally, it aims to participate more actively in civic action programs in order to reach out the people outside the FAB community.

The Dispensary boost of five (5) different sections, namely: Oral Maxillofacial & Surgery Section, Preventive Dentistry Branch - Periodontic Section & Restorative Section, Prosthodontic Section & Prosthodontic Laboratory, Comprehensive Dentistry & Demo Section, Oral Diagnostic Section – Examination Section & Peri-apical X-ray Section, Supply Section, Administrative & Operation Section. It also boasts of a service equal or even better than those given by private practitioners.
Although the supplies of the dispensary are limited, it still caters to the needs of the ever increasing military personnel, their dependents and civilian employees of the Command, and other military personnel and their dependents residing in FAB.
