MISSION

TO CONDUCT MILITARY PILOT TRAINING TO AVIATION STUDENTS AND QUALIFY THEM AS MILITARY PILOTS OF THE PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE.

BRIEF DISCUSSION

THE PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE FLYING SCHOOL AIMS TO BE THE LEADING FLYING SCHOOL IN THE ENTIRE ASIA. IT IS COMPOSED OF THREE SQUADRONS NAMELY 103RD PILOT QUALIFICATION TRAINING SQUADRON, 101ST PRIMARY PILOT TRAINING SQUADRON AND THE 102ND BASIC PILOT TRAINING SQUADRON.

THE 103RD PQTS HOLDS THE TRAINING AND ESTABLISHES THE QUALIFICATION IN BEING AN INSTRUCTOR PILOT. THEY ARE THE ONES RESPONSIBLE FOR QUALIFYING THE PILOTS TO BECOME INSTRUCTOR PILOTS THROUGH THE COURSES PILOT QUALIFICATION COURSE (PQC) AND INSTRUCTOR PILOT QUALIFICATION COURSE (IPQC). THEY ALSO CONDUCT THE GROUND ACADEMICS FOR THE STUDENT OFFICERS AND PREPARE THEM FOR FLIGHT TRAINING. THE 101ST PPTS HOLDS THE T-41 "MESCALERO" AIRCRAFT TRAINING. THE STUDENT OFFICERS NOW THEN START THEIR FIRST AIRCRAFT TRAINING USING THE T-41 "MESCALERO" AIRCRAFT. UPON COMPLETION THEY WILL TRANSFER TO 102ND BPTS AND START THEIR TRAINING USING THE SF-260 FH AIRCRAFT. HERE THE SAME LESSONS WILL APPLY BUT AN ADDITIONAL OF AEROBATIC LESSONS WILL BE INTRODUCED TO THE STUDENTS. THE PAFFS IS ALSO EQUIPPED WITH A CESSNA T-41 SIMULATOR DEVICE. THIS IS BEING USED BY THE PQC, IPQC AND 101ST STUDENTS TO STUDY AND LEARN THE AIRCRAFT'S CAPABILITIES.

THE PAFFS MISSION HOLDS IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE FLYING UNITS AS WELL AS THE WHOLE ARMED FORCES. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO PRODUCES THE PILOTS WHAT WILL UPHOLD THE ORGANIZATION'S INTEGRITY IN THE FUTURE.
